Nick was so confused as to what was going on with his best friend, Zoe. He didn’t even know if she was mad at him or just at Brody or at life in general. He could understand about being hurt over a breakup, but he was unable to see how it really had anything to do with him and why she was acting like he didn’t care, when he did. More than he could really begin to explain. His feelings for the girl were complicated and probably always would be. But, she needed him now and he couldn’t ignore that. Hoping he could lift her spirits, even just a little, he locked up the flat he now shared with Kendall after leaving her a note, saying he’d be back a little later, and made his way to the other girl’s flat.
On his way, he thought he ways he could cheer the girl up. They could color or play princesses or he could just simply be there for her, offer to listen to her problems. Maybe all she really needed was a hug, but whatever it was, he’d give to her. He’d do anything to bring that classic Zoe smile, because the complex wasn’t the same without it. When he reached her door, he knocked and waited patiently for her to answer.
